[He's not as adept at reading into a kiss as she is, as much as he does his best to give her one that's halfway decent. The problem with never having time to 'practice' these things. It gets his heart going, at least -- the proximity, the contact, warmth. Easy to get into something you haven't had in years.]

[But he's not going to go overboard. Not with a mistletoe kiss. Yes, he's holding back, controlling himself. But offering her a smile back.]
