the truth serum meme.

The Truth Serum Meme
The cliche and tired trope used to create conflict or acts of realization.

And congrats, now your character is inflicted by such a trope! Be it magic, drugs, or other means. Regardless of how, your character has lost the ability to lie or be dishonest.

Are you going to tell your childhood crush how you really feel? Or maybe tell your best friend about the double life you live? Perhaps this is a good time to admit to murder... hm.

  • Leave your character's name in the comment section.
  • Characters ask you a question, you must reply truthfully.
  • Have fun, no lying.

And he bought himself a Diamond Pony and named it Butt Stallion.

.... What kind of dad buys himself the Pony and not his daughter?

    [Kind of speechless, here.]

I... didn't know fathers were supposed to buy ponies.

It's when you're ten, it's kind of a stereotype. Every little boy and girl asks for a pony so that they can ride it, because horses are usually too big. They get to feel like princes and princesses, and it's supposed to be really special? Normally it's not really possible, granted, between living in space and whatever else, or expensive, normally it's way too expensive, so they go to like... parks, where you get to ride one for a little while.

    [ And another thing. ]

But on my tenth birthday? "No, Angel, come on pumpkin do you want to blow it up like you did the neighbours dog when you tried to pet it? You're going to get Daddy into the systems that allow him to deploy a satellite so you can watch planets that are going to make him rich!"

Then when he becomes the head of an intergalactic corporation he's got blackmailed to embezzle whatever he wants from anyway? He's so rich he can get a pony made out of actual living, breathing literally worth multibillions precious stones, and he gets it for himself.
