Her shout doesn't carry, no, but the intention of a shout pulls his attention to her like a beacon, through the silent medium of their shared connection. The Nest is full of hidden uses.

Truth be told, she's hardly mistaken to think of him as abird. As soon as he spotted her, Komali banked into a long, slow spiral, spilling air behind him to maintain the altitude under persistant updrafts-- and when she waved, he folded in and dropped yet faster. The air is warm and alive, at least in the heights, which makes it easy to turn with the resistance and drop, flapping madly at the last, to land in front of her.

"Hoi," That's a greeting, friendly with the breathlessness of exertion, "Are you alright? It's easy to get lost out here, if you're walking."
